The true story of the rebellion of the Seediq Aboriginal People of Taiwan against the occupying Japanese, in the early 1900s. WARRIORS OF THE RAINBOW: SEEDIQ BALE took 10 years to plan and 4 years to make, with a cast of 15000 people, and done in the original Seediq language that makes this a unique movie from Taiwan, and dear to the heart of the Seediq People. The large cast makes it hard sometimes to keep track of people and the structure of the tribes are not as clearly defined as one would like. Some western and modern viewers may have difficulty understanding the moral of the story.
These are short reviews of the movies I watch. Each posting will have the movie title and the date watched as well as which theatre I saw it at or whether it was watched on DVD. I will only be telling you if I enjoyed the movie or not and a bit about the look and feel of the movie, not about what happens. For that you will have to watch the movie.
