These are short reviews of the movies I watch. Each posting will have the movie title and the date watched as well as which theatre I saw it at or whether it was watched on DVD. I will only be telling you if I enjoyed the movie or not and a bit about the look and feel of the movie, not about what happens. For that you will have to watch the movie.

Sept 15th CUT (TIFF, Bell Lightbox 2)
A film maker comes up with an interesting way to pay off his debt to the Yakuza. CUT is made in Japan by an Iranian director, who believes that cinema is dying and movies have to be old before they can have any entertainment or artistic value. I enjoyed watching this movie, because I love Japanese movies, but I disagree with how the movie was made, with the director and certainly with his choice of the top 100 movies. If you think cinema is dying then you should make a better movie then this.
