Feb 5th WINTER'S BONE (DVD)

Not sure why WINTER'S BONE is nominated for so many awards, though a good story with good acting, there is nothing that is really outstanding. The punishment here certainly does not match the crime and because of that takes away from the entire movie. Does show a young woman in a role of strength and determination that is great to see and a good role model. It is interesting to see white people show as poor and backwards, where they are usually shown as rich and advanced in Hollywood, maybe that is what all the fuss was about?
