Feb 4th SANCTUM Imax 3D

IMAX? More like the Mini Me version of Imax or even like an ersatz Imax. Who says you can't learn anything from Television? Imagine watching Imax on a regular size screen and to add insult to injury the ticket cost $16. The biggest insult was the plastic 3D glasses that were not even plastic more like a plastic film for glasses. The packaging my pen came in is stronger then those lenses.
As for the movie itself, SANCTUM is not really scary in the way other cave movies like THE DESCENT was, unless you been in a cave like that or have a problem with very enclosed spaces. The real terror here is putting the audience into a position where they have to think whether they could make decisions like that or not.
Was it necessary to see this movie in 3D or the "Imax" at AMC, no I do not think so. James Cameron may have done a few cool things with 3D before but he is only the producer on this one so don't expect too much just because his name is linked to the movie.
