After waiting 3 1/2 hours in line to buy some extra TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) tickets I decided to treat myself to a movie.
Like I need a reason to see a movie.
I decided to go to Yonge and Dundas, Toronto Life Square's food court to eat since the Eaton centre is totally screwed up and half closed for construction. After eating is when I decided to treat myself to a movie and AMC Yonge and Dundas 24 was the closes theatre. My feet were too to go anywhere else.
If you liked Robert Rodriquez's Planet Terror, then you will like Machete. It starts out really well having you laugh at its violent campiness, but then it slowly loses steam. The final scenes are a bit anti climatic with two much posing going on.
Overall its still an entertaining and fun movie, and Danny Trejo does a good job in his first Hollywood leading role.
Even if Machete is outrageous and unbelievable it is still fun and was a welcome diversion from the massive downpour outside.
