Sept 10th TIFF Legend of the Fist: The Return of CHEN ZHEN.

A sequel to Bruce Lee's FISTS OF FURY (1972) and a tribute to the man himself who would have turned 70 this year.
The movie has a phenomenal opening scene that had the audience screaming in pleasure and excitement and a really good original story about Chinese Labourers in the first world war.. The middle of the film has some intrigue and mystery as well as some interesting characters so it keeps you interested. Then the end comes and that is where the disappointment sets in. The final fight scene is a big let down and not very exciting at all.Not what was expected from a great martial arts actor and fight choreographer like Donnie Yen. In this day and age I expect more realism to go with my super human feats of strength, ability and perseverance.
