These are short reviews of the movies I watch. Each posting will have the movie title and the date watched as well as which theatre I saw it at or whether it was watched on DVD. I will only be telling you if I enjoyed the movie or not and a bit about the look and feel of the movie, not about what happens. For that you will have to watch the movie.

Sept 3rd HACHI: A DOG'S TALE (DVD)
A remake of the 1987 Japanese movie "HACHIKO MONOGATARI" about the true life story of an extremely loyal dog. Hachiko is a revered figure in Japan and his statue stands proudly and well known near Shibuya crossing in Tokyo. The statue is a common meting place so you hear a lot of people say "Meet me at Hachiko." When I was first told this I thought Hachiko was a place. HACHI: A DOG'S TALE stars Richard Gere as a music professor who finds a puppy that turns out to have a major effect on his life and those around him. With an excellent story and some very good actors, HACHI: A DOG'S TALE is an enjoyable movie. I will have to watch the original Japanese movie now and see the differences based on cultural.
