Sept 10th DRACULA: THE DARK PRINCE (DVD)

Vlad Tempest, an early Romanian Prince, who becomes the basis for Bram Stoker's famous Dracula character is, I feel, one of history's most interesting persona. DRACULA: THE DARK PRINCE tries to tell the story of the real man behind the real scary legend of the world's most famous vampire. Unfortunately, the movie falls quite flat, mainly because it only briefly touches on the true points of his history that lead Stoker to base his novel on the man. So much more could have been done with this movie but very little was done and even what was was not done entirely correct.
So far I am still waiting for a really good movie showing the true story of the man, who to this day is still considered a national hero in Romania. With this Prince making some hard choices for his country, the rest of Europe would have been over run by the Ottoman Turks as well.
