These are short reviews of the movies I watch. Each posting will have the movie title and the date watched as well as which theatre I saw it at or whether it was watched on DVD. I will only be telling you if I enjoyed the movie or not and a bit about the look and feel of the movie, not about what happens. For that you will have to watch the movie.

May 13th PRIEST 3D
I am a prodigious reader. Like when I leave the house and forget my watch, I feel almost naked when I leave without a book. Normally I am reading several books at the same time and take turns reading one then the other at different times of the day. I wish I could read faster since there are so many books I want to read and have only so much free time during the day. Why am I talking about books on a movie review blog you ask yourself, or maybe the computer screen? Well besides the fact that PRIEST is loosely based on PRIEST, a Manhwa (Korean Comic), it also reminds me of how books are nowadays. Very few authors write a stand alone novel anymore. The norm now is for a story to stretch across three, four, or seven and more books. Some successful series even continue after the author has passed away, written by other authors. If you find a books you enjoy, maybe you should find out if it is part of a series before you read it. It sometimes helps prepare you if you have to wait for the next book in the series to come out.PRIEST is like this because it is an entertaining movie but more of an introduction to the characters and the world. If the movie makes more money then it costs there will be a second one. The more money over its budget the movie makes will determine if the second movie is in theatres or goes straight to disc. I have a feeling there will be more and more movies like this and the earlier ROBIN HOOD movie, in the future.
