The story of a young black man who moves to the southern United States and finds himself in a totally different world then New York City. Its always hard being the new person anywhere so meeting at least one friend is a blessing. RIVERS WASH OVER ME is a movie that asks the question of does this blessing lead to love or even more heartache.
Some people may not be interested in a gay story, but you should know that this movie only barely touches on gay issues and the issues it does touch on is very lightly and not very in depth with any issue that the movie covers.
I watch movies that cover a wide range of issues and subjects and sometimes will watch a movie simply because it is about a subject I know very little about.
