Dec 25th THE TEMPEST

I have now seen two of the five new theatres in the TIFF building. I refuse to call it TIFF Lightbox cause I think that is a very stupid name, even if Lightbox used to be what a projector was first called.
My best friend and I saw THE TEMPEST in theatre 5 (150 seats) which still had that brand new smell to it.
The movie version of William Shakespeare's play was very well done, even with a few minor changes. At first I thought the Shakespearean language was going to be harder to follow but my grade 9 high school English teacher would have been so proud of how easy it was to fall back into.
The movie was filmed on a small Hawaii island owned by the Dole company. From the scenes we see its hard to believe even pineapples could grow there.
A very good movie with very good actors always makes for very good entertainment.
