Not since I first went to a movie theatre in 1977 was I ever able to watch a movie all by myself. Normally just seconds before the movie starts someone would come into the theatre and of course make a lot of noise. Well this night in the approximately 200 seat Cumberland 3 cinema I watched a movie all alone. Was a great feeling to be the only person in the theatre and it was a good movie as well.
MADE IN DAGENHAM is the story of women who work in a Ford factory in England in the mid 1960s and of course they get paid a lot less then the men. The movie, from the people who brought us great British comedy as CALENDAR GIRLS is about their beginning struggle to get equal pay based on the work they do not on their sex.
