These are short reviews of the movies I watch. Each posting will have the movie title and the date watched as well as which theatre I saw it at or whether it was watched on DVD. I will only be telling you if I enjoyed the movie or not and a bit about the look and feel of the movie, not about what happens. For that you will have to watch the movie.

Oct 8th WAR OF THE ARROWS "Choi-jong-byeong-gi Hwal " (AMC Yonge and Dundas 24 Theatre #16)
Usually I have to watch a movie like WAR OF THE ARROWS "Choi-jong-byeong-gi Hwal " on DVD, so it is great to see some of the better Asian movies getting released in North America, well Toronto at least. This is a good Korean action, period piece, with a very good story and beautiful sets. The abilities of the archers is subtle but none the less impressive and of course there are always laughs thrown in. There is also just enough text narration to fill you in on what is going on, so the movie is enjoyable even if you do not know the history. For some reason the Americans have renamed this movie ARROW, THE ULTIMATE WEAPON.
