Sept 22nd DRIVE (Varsity Theatre #8)

Personally, I have always found Ryan Gosling to be annoying. That stems from his character on the T.V show BREAKER HIGH. His acting since then has approved a lot, but in DRIVE, he just tries too hard. The movie has a good story and a lot of potential yet also flaws that make it boring to watch, except in a few spots. The main flaws are trying to make it so dramatic by slowing the pace and putting in a lot of silent, unemotional staring. It does not work here. You definitely need better dialogue then what we heard tonight.

    totally disagree, not every movie needs to be packed with dialogue or action, people's tastes differ, but that doesn't make a film better or worse than any others.

    Your definitely right a movie does not need to be packed with dialogue or action but it should have something going on for us to watch. If we just want to look at pictures of Ryan we can do that from the internet. Every movie no matter what it is like needs to capture our interst. This one did not for me.
    I will state that of course people have different tastes. The friend I saw the movie with liked it a lot. I hope you did as well.
