INSIDEOUT schedule

2 45pm WORLD'S BEST DOCS
Six short docs from around the world. All except one (CLOSE) were very entertaining.
Two to really give mention to are DECODING ALAN TURNING, about the WWII British, intelligence officer and computer genius who just happened to be gay. There is of course a lot more to that story and one I find very interesting. Such a huge impact his life had on the entire world.
The second I want to mention is GEORGE AND BRAD IN BED. A candid interview with Star Trek actor George Takei and his husband Brad Altman in their bed and a quick, sweet and interesting look into their relationship and love.

4 45pm DIFFERENT FROM WHOM?
A funny and very entertaining Italian comedy about a gay politician and his career and relationship.
Problem I have with this movie and others, is the light hearted look at cheating and wonder why a lot of gay movies make it seem like cheating is no big deal. Am sure we are far better then that.

7 15pm SEXY BOYS
A collection of 8 shorts this time all dealing cute boys and of course sex.
For me the only one of these shorts that is worth mentioning anything is SPRING, about a boys first time.
The other eight I did not find interesting and some even a bit offensive. Like come on people if I wanted to watch soft core porn I would have stayed home. Not every gay movie has to have a naked boy in it and certainly doesn't need to be nothing but two friends recording themselves having sex. Am sure we have more to say then that. Am not against nudity at all but just feel that it and sex should have a place in the movie not just be the entire movie, otherwise we are a bunch of male strangers watching porn in one of Toronto's newest movie venues. Darn I forgot my raincoat.
