With today's technology and advances in special effects and CGI added to great writing and incredible acting you get some really amazing movies nowadays.
Unfortunately MONSTERS is not one of these films. The special effects and CGI are only okay but very minimal in a sci-fi monster movie. The lead actor is fake and annoying, making you wish he did work behind a counter. Being American is not going to save you. Its an infected zone full of gigantic, human eating, space monsters, of course the people taking you through it are carrying guns. The female lead is a rich ungrateful crybaby who cant make a decision by herself or stick with it. This is supposed to be a space monster movie but the monsters shown in the movie are the human kind only. The movie is full of dumb ideas and boring writing. Surprisingly enough SKYLINE was way more enjoyable.
