Dec 11th THE LION IN WINTER (DVD, REPEAT)

The ultimate Christmas movie with the ultimate dysfunctional family. After watching THE KING'S SPEECH, my friend and I discussed movies about the British Royal Family, such as ELIZABETH, THE QUEEN, THE YOUNG VICTORIA, MRS BROWN and THE MADNESS OF KING GEORGE. We then rented THE LION IN WINTER (Original 1968 version, although the one with Patrick Stewart and Glen Close (2003) is also good.) as I had told him it is one of the best movies I have seen in my entire life.
Filled with sarcastic humour and family relationships that make hyenas look tame. The movie also stars a young Anthony Hopkins and an even younger Timothy Dalton as King Philip II of France.
