Of course I saw this movie when it first came out at the theatre in 1995, being both a Mel Gibson fan and a Canadian Scottish man it was a necessity. The movie chronicles the life of William Wallace, a Scottish rebel, folk hero and legend. Even if not completely historically accurate, the movie does get its main points across and is extremely entertaining. Definitely one of the major epics to see if you have not seen it already. Only problem I had with the film is how it makes the Scottish seem as if they are dirty savages living in mud huts while the British are shown as noble and civilized living in castles.
