Sept 23rd MADEA'S FAMILY REUNION (DVD)

Deals with some very serious issues but unfortunately doesn't fully address them. Showing an issue is just one part of addressing it.
Usually with serious issues and mixed in comedy issues, the comedy ones emphasis the serious ones, but here they take away from them.
The comedy is not funny and seems out of place among such serious issues.
What really bothers me is that one side of the story speaks out against family violence while the other side condones family violence.
Such mixed signals are not good from any source. Not one of Tyler Perry's best. If dealt with the serious issues and forgot the comedy, it would have been a lot better.
Always good to hear Maya Angelou speak though especially reciting one of her poems.
